A very tiny article about Doc Martin in yesterday's Sunday Telegraph (from Sydney, Australia) repeated the little we know about Series 4 - that is, that we have to wait (until 2009) for it. :( The show has been a surprise ratings success in Australia, hurrah!

I've placed the article behind a cut because of a mild spoiler.

Saturday's top-rating show, Doc Martin, finishes up next weekend on the ABC but its wedding finale will have viewers anxiously wondering when we'll see the fourth series.

It's not scheduled until next year because star Martin Clunes is having a long holiday with his family and making a doco about dogs.

Doc's success down under (along with Nine's Harry Potter films) has caused Seven to axe Michael Palin's New Europe in favour of more repeats of Fawlty Towers and The Vicar of Dibley.

Hmm. Nothing that Wikipedia hasn't already told us.

They could have co-existed peacefully.
